Compose for the screen that will cover the image

A wallpaper succeeds through hierarchy, safe space and honest export information—not through a universal-fit label.

01

Clock zone

Keep the upper field calm enough for large white or dark time text. Test local contrast, not only the average brightness of the image.

02

Icon field

Move eyes, faces and intricate highlights away from dense icon rows. A quiet background may still contain texture if its contrast remains controlled.

03

Crop margin

Protect the subject with extra water around its outer contours. Phone wallpaper pickers may enlarge, shift or trim the original.

04

File record

Keep pixel dimensions, format, preview and source download explicit. Never describe a file with an unsupported resolution label.
